Navy “Head Down”
Your mind wants to tell you that it’s had enough. It wants to get you to quit by telling your muscles they hurt; its looking for the easy way out. It’s protecting itself. That’d be easy wouldn’t it? Just to give up. It’d be easy to quit and end the temporary pain and go back to the comforts of your mediocre life...that’d feel good, wouldn’t It?
Or maybe you tell yourself “Meh, this ain’t so bad. I can handle a little more...I can go a little further.” And you just keep telling yourself that. You just keep reminding yourself, “This is almost over. The finish line is just around the corner, I just gotta keep going.”
A man who has learned perseverance through struggle is a dangerous man; It never leaves him, he is always in the fight.
Once you’ve experienced life outside of your comfort zone, it has a new shine to it. You’re a changed being because you’ve been through it, you know that no matter fucking what...no matter who is in your fucking way, even when it’s yourself, you just keep going. Head down, foot after foot, breath after breath; you know you’ll get through It.
